Laminated floor is so easy to lay, click click and your done, rubbish! Well granted my room was big ,not square ,with terrible skirtings and I may be showing some signs of perfectionism but I didnt find it easy. I layed the first section and managed to chip two of these indestructable boards. They arent indestructable, then I moved some of my chairs across onto the quarter layed floor and managed to scratch two other boards. On further inspection I wasnt happy with the gaps with the wall, you have to leave a big gap but not big enough that your skirting board cant hide which is a hard balance in a big, non square room with dodgy skirting. In the end I took half the roof up 3 times before I was happy removed all the damaged boards and was far more careful. Its all down now and looks really good, havent put the skirting back yet but the gaps look really good. The proper skirting is very expensive so Im probably going to get some plain pine and vanish it myself. |
