What a sexy DJ! Totally blew me away, reminds me of years ago in Long Street Cape Town. I am such a sucker for a good looking DJ and black short sleeve shirts it seems.

After a couple of years we all finally got to meet up with Neil on a mission to celebrate his birthday. Within 1 hour Neil and I had separated from the group and went on our own mission. Also not surprisingly I had pitched up in my funky pair of checker slip on vans, very trendy but not bouncer friendly. So with 15 minutes until ASDA closed we get a taxi and start our mission, ending up 1 hour later at tescos with a £20 pair of shoes and a bottle of cherry liquer that we could barely drink. So good start to an evening and that was even before going into the club.

I totally love the area Ronnie and Sara live in. Up the road they have an amazing vegetarian restaurant, across they road they have a lawn, park or what ever you want to call it. Its half way between my work and London, to top it off I have had 2 amazing long runs along the Thames river on Queens walk. One in the pissing ran and the next weekend in the glorious sun, hot enough to take my shirt off!

The next morning coming back from Neils Basildone adventure I arrived back at the house before Ronnie and Sara had finished there shopping. So I sat in the park once again in the sun, stripped off and got a fair tan. Not a bad morning, as Catherine says its always great coming back on public transport Sunday morning with all the girls in the fancy clothes that dont look so hot after a rough night and smudged makeup wearing a nasty hangover.

Makes me wonder about loving to the UK actually that and the cheap airwalk hoodie I bought for £10. Consumerism, you got to love it.

I met up with Lars at Tower Bridge station and we went for a couple of drinks before the party to get in the mode and try work out where the flat was. After a few drinks we decided that we did not know where it was an neither of us had a map, so walked out anyway into the rain and did our best to find it. After about 5 minutes in the rain and a quick conversation with a couple of sexy tourists with a map we admitted defeat and got into a taxi. My first time inside a London Cabbie actually, his first words where "you got to fucking be kidding, you would be faster off walking" so we where pretty close it seemed. After the U turn he pulled it did take a couple of minutes, so £4 well spent in my mind.

Now since coming to Europe and learning about Szarlotka (apple juice with polish vodka) I have been waiting for right time to unleash it. The time found me though as this beautiful polish girl came up and poured one for me. Now that is what life is about :)

Its been a very cool two weeks. Well the first week was very very laid back with some running and swimming to keep me busy and this week I was training.
Like most IT companys they lull you into thinking that the induction is going to be nice and gradual. They all give you the speech about your new we dont expect anything much from you in the first couple of months. Then bam day 3 and your dropped in the deep end (its fun though, for me and them).

So first week of training done, Im flying out to Cork today. Little bit of pressure to find a place to stay, hopefully find a room in a shared house with the next 48 hours or so. Feels like I am a contestant on the amazing race or some other crap TV program. Except this is really really, well at least for me.

After a long walk around some suburb of london I have since forgotten the name of and walking around a fair we got some drinks and headed back to Taryns place. The drinks were a good mix, cheap (79p) cider which is 12.5%, beer and cheap SA wine no cork as we found out!

Chilled on there balcony then off to a dodgy underground hardcore trance party, which was pretty intresting to say the least. Got back about 2:30 last beer on the balcony then off to bed.
Walked from Nicoles flat up through blackheath down to the Thames. Walk down towards London through an industrial area it seems wasnt really sure were I was ended up at Canada Water Tube station really exhausted from walking with my pack for probably 5 hours. So got the tube to St James and had a little nap and some lunch in the park. Must have looked like a tramp sleeping in the park with my pack. Then walked down the mall and got the tube back to fleet just in time for rush hour, joy.
Pizza, beer , wine and a bunch of south africans in a flat in Lewisham. Was actually pretty chilled watched DVDs. Got back massage, was good :)

Cold pizza for breakfast and off I went to Blackheath common.
Met up with Tammy and Taryn in the pub outside earls court tube station? Actually Im not sure if it was earls court station or what the pubs name was. Anyway it was near Earls Court. Tammy and I arrived first, we just come from Camdon Town so had built up a good thirst. I deserved a beer! Being tourists I ordered a pint of bitter, the bar men laughted no one drinks bitter in summer oops, should have orders stella a spanish beer go figure. Tammy had a WKD, cause every one has a WKD side apparently... After that we hit the ciders, things get blurry meet Taryn she is also missing her man few tears walk back to her place in earls court. Few shots of a lotus for clayton.
