beer

When did we become posers? It must have been this year, cos I cant remember it being last year. After standing in a queue at tiger tiger for about 45 minutes, I soon got fedup of the throngs of preppy UCT guys that came up to flirt with my blonde date for the evening. Our local connections where already inside and not as connected as our old connections, so could not get us in.
This left us with the option of using our £'s to pay for a VIP pass, commonly known as bribery. As it was a door bitch and I was feeling particularly cocky I went up to work my magic and flash the blue eyes and pink pounds. I was shot down with in moments of mentioning paying extra for VIP, apparently the VIP list was closed and she was a lesbian.

I arrived in Riga a little later than scheduled due to delays from Lithuania.
All I relay wanted was to get onto the next bus to Tallinn. This was not to be though as I was told the next bus was at 6 oclock in the afternoon, I then found a bus at 4 oclock felt little happier then tried to work out what to do for 4 hours.

As I had traveled for nearly 48 hours now without a wash or change of clothes I was feeling pretty rank.
I had to draw some cash from the ATM to use the bathroom. This is always a tricky operation for me. I still had my Złoty from Poland and would preferred to change them but being unable to find a Forex shop I used the ATM. The main thing that worried me about using the ATM, besides the fear of it swallowing my card for ever, is how much money to draw. At this stage I barely knew which country I was in let alone how the currency was doing with regard to the Euro.

Let me start by saying I thought the beer in Prague was better than in Brno. Now maybe this is just because I was on holiday in Prague and it was my first Czech experience.
After drinking vast quantities of Brno beer (it was good, just not as good as I remembered beer in Prague being) it was pretty easy on the hangover which was a god send.

I was there on a 3 day training course with the obligatory dinners out at steak houses trying to work out what the best vegan chips and salad option would be. Drinking quantities of beer in a team building kind of way.

So I did not get to see much of the town really. I managed a quick run one morning which was great and I bought a Kafka book which is becoming a tradition when I visit Czech.

On the last day I convince the team to go to a Veggie restaurant. This was the best meal (only proper) of my time there and included this funny spiced cola which was awesome.

You get it? As in it was Mozzies birthday, I had a mo for Movember and was wearing my new bad mo fo tshirt. Well it seems pretty funny at the time. Ended up a huge party night, the beer feast was a complete tourist trap. My pretzel and beer combination cost some obscene amount, that could have probably bought me a full meal outside of the water front.
Eventually we took over two benches of drinkers with a few people eating. As per normal the bill arrived and the waiter sensing my maturity hands it to me. I hate this part people are generally assholes about putting in money and when it gets complicated with shooters and 10% tip already added it is just a nightmare.
To avoid the pressure I put in my money, made a crack about Accturies being like Accountants and handed the bill to the two most qualified Acc Sci guys that where sitting there. My good deed for the day and gave them something to do.
Pizza, beer , wine and a bunch of south africans in a flat in Lewisham. Was actually pretty chilled watched DVDs. Got back massage, was good :)

Cold pizza for breakfast and off I went to Blackheath common.
