gauteng

We woke up feeling very very rough, receipts from our excessive pizza evening laying all over the flat. This was not exactly the way I had pictured our first monday night!

Leon who had missed out last night, woke up bright and perky. Organised Greg to buy us all the bacon and eggs we needed to cook up a breakfast that fitted our hangovers.

Then off to Gold Reef City to be the tourists that we are.

Our three brave roadtrippers venture off late saturday night on the beginning of there 3000km voyage up the N1.
We drove all through the night each getting a coulpe of hours sleep while we rotated drivers. We ended up in Bloemfontein ready for breakfast at the Mug and Bean, I overdosed on 2 litres of bottomless coffee. Even Leon who cant stand the taste tried to sip on some to keep ourselves going.

Next leg of our journey, things where getting a little hot in the car so Ronnie and I stripped down to our boxes, Leon is pretty used to us by now so barely battered an eyelid. The ladies running the numerous toll boothes did not seem to mind either.

The poor sentra was wheezing by the time it got up to the thin air of Johannesburg and we made it do battle with the million intersections and "R" roads of jhb, while we tried to find Eastgate mall to meet Greg.
Road trippin' with my two favorite allies
Fully loaded we got snacks and supplies
It's time to leave this town
It's time to steal away
Let's go get lost

Just like our Knysna road trip, Leon, Ronnie and I are driving up to JHB to pickup greg and visit everyone we know up there. The cunning plan so far is to leave next sunday for one full week. Greg is already planning for us to hit the lanyest clubs in sandton. All Im worried about is going to "Doors".
