It always sucks selling a car, in particularly when the car is a Lancia. I have had my Monte for a couple of years, so I have had my fair share with her and need to pass her onto the next owner before I leave for Ireland in 6 weeks time. So she has been clean and polished and is currently at Italsud Motors in Cape Town for some final repairs. After I get her back Ill start advertising her in the Autotrader and the like. 1984 Lancia Montecarlo 2l Twincam with dual down draught Webers carbs, Powerflow Exhaust |

Some weekends I just give up and give myself up to what ever is happening, this weekend was a car weekend. Italian car day at killarney and the Lancia 100 year celebrations that the Cape Lancia Club held at the italian club. Taking my Lancia Montecarlo on the track was brilliant, Im totally hooked, I will be back hopefully without crashing or breaking anything too hectic. I also got the chance to work on a Lancia Lambda, which is a great previlige. The Lambda was one the very great early lancias, first production car in the world ever to have a monocoque chassis. |

After much worrying about money, the drive down and if I would actually be able to fit in a Montecarlo. I had horrible flash backs to the day I was offered a drive in a Birken Lotus 7 and I couldnt get my legs in. Not to worry though, I got the money, it arrived safe and I fit. My two girls drove me to bellville to go and collect her. She was driven down on a big truck full of new cars. She is so much more sexy though! |
